LFCS-T Target Kit malfunctions are detected by two primary methods. Either the RMCS network monitoring function detects an IPU that has stopped communicating on the CTC-IS RCS network; or the MRC/LF-C2 software displays a target in an offline status. An LFCS-T Maintainer determines if the malfunctioning component can be repaired locally, such as the IPU or a capacitor board in […]
All RCS Network components are monitored through the use of the RMCS SolarWinds software application. RCS Network Administrators perform continuous monitoring actions to detect symptoms that occur on the RCS network. RCS Network Maintenance personnel travel to the site to troubleshoot and begin fault isolation of the suspected component. Malfunctioning components, such as the ASR Router and the Site Boss, […]
RDMS Dismount Kit component malfunctions are detected during the IIR process and actual observation of the IPU initialization process or during operations by an out of comms condition. Components that check bad are replaced and the system is checked for proper operation. Both TAF analysts and OCTs have the capability to check the status of the player unit to determine […]
RDMS Vehicle Kit component malfunctions are detected during the IIR process and actual observation of the IPU initialization process or during operations by an out of comms condition. CTCS-V Desktop Terminal equipment malfunctions, such as an inability to log in to the RCS Network or a defective peripheral component, are referred to the CTCS-V Desktop Terminal Maintainer for further evaluation. The maintainer will remove and replace the defective component with a known good component, and perform checkout procedures with the operator to perform a system function check.
RMCS NOC Hardware provides a field service computer device to monitor, troubleshoot, and isolate faults on the RCS Network. An NOC Hardware Maintainer is capable of checking the RMCS system software configurations and power indications on the CF-31 Laptop and performing basic remove and replace procedures on the replaceable subcomponents of the CF-31 Laptop to correct potential malfunctions.
CTCS-V Vehicle Kit component malfunctions are initially detected by the user during equipment installation and operation. Malfunctions such as defective or damaged hardware are verified and replaced by CTCS-V maintenance personnel, then checked for proper operation. Combat Trainers in the exercise area and TAF analysts at the CIS have the capability to confirm the operational status of the system’s […]
CTCS-D Laptop software configuration and power indicator malfunctions are referred to a CTCS-D Laptop Maintainer for further evaluation. The CTCS-D Laptop Maintainer is capable of performing basic remove and replace procedures on the AC power adaptor, and main and secondary batteries. If the malfunction is determined to be hardware related and cannot be corrected locally, the laptop is sent to […]
